Land Trouble in New AP

Around 4,000 transactions came under police scanner. Sudhakar broke the story of insider trading done by Andhra Pradesh politicians in the sale of 4,069 acres of land around Amaravati even before the official announcement for capital was made. Sudhakar reported that more than 700 benamis who owned land worth Rs 220 crore in the capital region were found to be earning less than Rs 5,000 a month! Sudhakar wrote about how AP politicians through land pooling redesigned boundaries of the capital region for their benefit.
