Sudhakar Reddy Udumula is the Editor, Investigation at The Times of India, Hyderabad. He is an award-winning investigative journalist and author of 'Blood Sanders - The Great Forest Heist', an investigation into Red Sanders smuggling in AP which was published in December 2021. He is a fact check trainer with the Google News Initiative India Network and has shared his expertise with many journalists through worshops and seminars. Among the many recognitions that acknowledged his tireless effort to report uncomfortable truths is the UNICEF Media award of 2016.

He is a United States International Visitor Leadership Program Investigative Journalism Programme alumnus, Chevening South Asia Journalism Programme fellow and Global Investigative Journalism Network fellow.

Sudhakar reported on the trail of migration and drought across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has written extensively on divisive politics in the region, systemic gender discrimination, agrarian crisis and the will of the people to survive great odds.

Sudhakar’s stories have exposed scams in political and corporate circles, such as involvement of Hyderabad-based companies named in Panama Papers scam and Telgi Stamp Paper scam, among others. His versatility in reporting has taken his readers to the red corridors of left-wing extremism.
